Site Engineering Services

As part of the Team for the new $291 million, 10-story Global Vascular Institute that is being built in Buffalo’s Medical Corridor, DiDonato is providing site engineering services for the new facility.

DiDonato will obtain the services of a licensed surveyor to perform additional survey work including locating and mapping existing underground utility tunnels from the existing power plant to Buffalo General Hospital under Goodrich Street. Revision of the survey datum to match the existing Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus datum.

DiDonato shall provide initial contact with all public and private utilities located within the section of Goodrich Street that is to be transferred to Kaleida Health. Utilities to be contacted include City of Buffalo Water, Buffalo Sewer Authority, Verizon, National Grid and National Fuel.  DiDonato will also provide additional guidance for engineering issues that may arise during the abandonment process in conjunction with Cannon Design.

DiDonato will provide additional engineering services for a preliminary layout due to changes to the original design approval due to Owner and University at Buffalo requests. DiDonato will provide a preliminary layout showing the proposed access drive moved from the west side of the power plant to the east side of the power plant.

DiDonato Associates will provide additional engineering services in accordance with the original proposal to prepare an additional set of construction documents and specifications for utility relocation plans along Goodrich Street to be prepared prior to the site construction drawings.
