DiDonato has been providing design services for the replacement of waterlines throughout the City of Buffalo. Projects included replacement of 26,700 L.F. of 8” pipe; 5,700 L.F. of 12” pipe; 2,250 L.F. of 16” pipe; and 3,200 L.F. of 20” pipe. Work also included installation of internal joint seals in 6,600 LF of existing 36” CIP. |
Erie County Water Standard Specifications
Client: Erie County Water Authority |
DiDonato was retained by the Erie County Water Authority to update all standard specifications to be used for future Erie County Water Authority construction projects. This entailed the review of all boilerplate and technical specifications sections, a comparison check to current engineering practices and industry design standards, and modifications to all necessary sections to ensure compliance with other governing standards. |

Erie County Water Authority Design Contracts

DiDonato has provided the design of several new and replacement waterlines throughout Erie County under five consecutive term contracts. Projects entail the installation of 6-inch to 24-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP) at various locations. Projects also included installation of new watermain in existing street pavements including re-establishment of all domestic and commercial water services |

Town of Amherst Sanitary Sewer Extension Projects

DiDonato provided complete design services for sanitary sewer replacement, rehabilitation, and extension projects throughout the Town of Amherst. Projects have involved investigation of the general flow characteristics of the existing sanitary sewers, reviewing the previous photographic investigation reports, and identification of the areas requiring replacement. Other services provided included, estimates of construction costs, options for financing, completion of required State Environmental Quality Review paperwork, and educated recommendations. Some designs entailed relining existing sanitary sewers in lieu of complete replacement. |
