Buffalo River Fest Park
Client: Valley Community Center

DiDonato is responsible for the planning and design of a 2.5-acre park located on the Buffalo River.  The project involves the construction of a multi-purpose park on an existing vacant lot.  The construction of the Buffalo River Fest Park will provide public access opportunities to the region’s residents and visitors.  The design objective is to create a link between the Buffalo Harbor waterways and the emerging Cobblestone District.  A wharf and transient docks will be built to accommodate all types of watercraft, from canoes to cabin cruisers.  Visitors can arrive by bike or on foot, on pathways that will connect to existing greenway routes in the neighborhood.  A pavilion will be constructed to house restroom and snack bar facilities, and also will host small and medium size music events featuring local artists.  Historical interpretive displays highlighting the Buffalo River’s rich industrial heritage also will be a featured function of the pavilion.  With the use of natural land-form design, tree planting and sodding, the intended bucolic setting should be ideal for a small family picnic or a local church’s lawn fete.

River Fest Park

Ralph Wilson Stadium – Home of the Buffalo Bills
Client: Erie County Dept. of Public Works / Buffalo Bills


DiDonato was a Prime Consultant for the Buffalo Bills, Erie County and NYSUDC to provide construction documents for the renovations to the Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park, New York. The rehabilitation projects consisted of 76 new dugout suites; second level club level suites and restroom towers. Work also included design and construction support services for two sideline dugout suites that were utilized as a proto-type suite for marketing.

 

  

Other services DiDonato has provided at the Stadium since 1992 include:

  • Full design and construction monitoring services for removal and disposal of the original stadium turf playing field and replacement with new artificial playing field.

  • Miscellaneous Site work including roofing, walkways, stairways, parking lots, foundations, service gates, and drainage.
 

Gallagher Beach Boat Harbor Beach Access and Improvements
Phases I & II

DiDonato was the prime consultant in charge of complete design and construction monitoring services for the restoration and improvements to 1500 LF of City of Buffalo’s waterfront. The project included a 1700 LF Boardwalk, 160 ft. fishing pier, jet ski launch, windsurfing/canoe launch area, beach restoration, parking, 2000 LF bike path and landscaping. North French Soccer Complex Improvements
Client: Town of Amherst

DiDonato was retained by the Town of Amherst to provide plans for the expansion of the soccer complex to meet A.S.A. Standards. The project consisted of the installation of six (6) new soccer fields, the expansion of the existing parking lot, handicapped access, new restrooms, installation of walkways, and design and construction of backflow prevention system.
